Our Services

Speech and Language
At Building Blocks Therapy Services, we support communication across the lifespan for children, teens, and adults. Our therapy is strength based, neuroaffirming, and responsive to sensory, motor, and emotional needs. We focus on real-life communication that works at home, school, work, and in the community.

Reading and Literacy
Our reading and literacy services are for children, teens, and adults who need more than extra practice or homework help. This is therapy, not general tutoring. We look at how a person is hearing sounds in words, recognizing print, and understanding language, and why reading, spelling, or writing feel hard, even when they are trying their best. Our approach is informed by Orton Gillingham and other structured literacy methods. Skills are taught directly, in small, clear steps, with plenty of guided practice.

Feeding and swallowing
Our feeding and swallowing services support infants, children, and, when appropriate, teens and adults who are working hard to eat, drink, or manage mealtimes. We look at how the mouth, muscles, and nervous system are working together, and how that affects comfort, safety, nutrition, and family routines. Therapy is collaborative and family centered, with a focus on making everyday eating feel more manageable.

Orofacial Myology
Orofacial myology looks at how the lips, tongue, jaw, and face rest and move for breathing, chewing, swallowing, and speech. Families and providers may notice open mouth rest posture, the tongue sitting against or between the teeth, or chewing that looks noisy or effortful, and wonder how these habits could affect function or dental treatment over time.

School Services
We partner with districts that want stable, high quality speech and language support from providers who are part of the community. Our therapists live and work in the region, know local schools, and are invested in long-term relationships with students and staff. .
For your convenience, we offer both in-person and remote appointments.
